• the investigation part of the log would start with various calls reporting a fire downtown at around 4-5am, with various men and woman rushing out of the building. Police and firefighters would be called onto the scene as well as any pro heroes, to an average industrial building with thick white smoke accumulating out of ground level— but not the upper ones.
* Outer observation would not point to a fire, and neither would the smoke upon closer inspection. It's artificial signal smoke placed strategically on ground level next to each window, kept open.
* Looking around the area even further will lead to two young woman that stick out in dirty and worn clothing, looking nervous and trying to get some rest in a public bathroom. Questioning them and taking them in for medical attention will lead to their identification: they're sisters, raptured from the countryside and forced to work in the building for years. she'll let the police know there are around ten others, as long as they won't harm them and take them back home. If asked how they got out, they'll both mention a man in a skull mask secured the room and freed them.
* The doors to the building are left wide open from the main entrance to the back one. Walking into the building and looking around the first floor, there's a man, dead, shot right between the eyes. It was at point blank range.
* The man would be identified: insert name here, insert quirk here; the important thing to know is that they have a criminal record.
* There's nothing else on this floor but the stairs and elevator. The elevator is stuck on the roof level, so. Stairs it is.
* On the roof: some hand prints, far from the normality, leading off the roof.
• Get the elevator unjammed, which has a stick of signalizers stuck between the doors to keep them from closing. Looks like someone wanted to bring your attention to the roof. In the said elevator, there's another dead person, in which that blood belonged to. If you want to take it down now, it works.
• The lower levels of the building are an elaborate, tidy drug brewing and packaging ring. What was supposed to be packed is left as it is, as if the packers dropped everything and ran.
• In the next room, there's more blood work, and in the main room, a bath of it. More than twenty five people are dead, all part of the trafficking and much more on the list of harmful criminal activity. Some are shot, beaten, burned, others mangled, as if an animal had shredded right through them.
• Muffled sounds could be heard through one of the walls, which would lead to a safe room with cameras and a man, strapped in his seat and mouth sealed tight with fabric.
• Freeing the man, he'll gladly tell you everything he knows. He looks very, very spooked and visibly frightened, and might need some coaxing for him to talk with safety. He'll be identified as a worker who does security for the ring's building only out of necessity.
• All security cameras recorded everything and weren't taken or destroyed, so evidence is there. Videos will be given/played by request, and on each camera, the prime suspect will spray paint words that, together and in order, will read: THERES NO CHURCH IN THE WILD. They'll learn quite a bit about him through the videos, too. One thing is for certain: he planned all this, even the evidence that would be left behind.
• Gist of the end with the evidence in line: Ghost was here, and he didn't even try to hide it.
• But........... where'd he go
Maybe the post can start with something like BREAKING NEWS, with media giving a quick run down and interviewing some civilians (npcs and pcs) that show up, updating the news as the investigation goes along. If tapes are withheld, they could always be leaked. There could be a mingle option, even for students that want to look on or snoop around the crime scene limits if they're bold. Then, the building investigation part for the pros, of course.
